Dr. DANIEL SOKAL,
PhD, LCSW
Hi, I’m Dr. Daniel Sokal, and welcome to my practice! I am a licensed psychotherapist and trained psychoanalyst proudly serving individuals, couples, and business professionals online throughout Westchester County, New York and Connecticut. I reside in Connecticut with my wife, five children, and three dogs.
I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from Syracuse University and my PhD from ICSW in Chicago. During my time at Syracuse, I was the President of the Delta Gamma Chapter of the Phi Alpha National Honor Society, awarded NASW-CNY Chapter Student Of The Year, recipient of the Amy B. Watkins scholarship, and was elected Class Marshall and Convocation Speaker for my graduating class.
I am a Ph.D. graduate of The Institute for Clinical Social Work. My research interests include role reversal, the parent-as-peer dynamic (my coined term), parentification, the other’s experience of a narcissist, and recovery from narcissistic abuse.
